2010 Trans-Tasman Timber Design Awards Commercial Construction - Turner and Associates Architects and Taylor Thomson Whitting Consulting Engineers - Wolgan Valley Resort and Spa
David Boyle Architect won the Residential Housing Award with Burridge Read Residence, the winning entry in the 2010 Australian Timber Design Awards (ATDA). Turner and Associates Architects and Taylor Thomson Whitting Consulting Engineers took home the Commercial Construction Award with Wolgan Valley Resort and Spa, another stand-out entry in the 2010 ATDA. Waitomo Caves Visitors' Centre by Dunning Thornton Consultants, Architecture Workshop, Hunter Laminates, and Hawkins Construction snagged the Community Award for New Zealand. Winners were chosen from among the very best entries in the Australian and the New Zealand Timber Design Awards. The finalists were: Residential: Burridge Read residence (Aus), Coromandel Beach House (NZ), Hilltop House (Aus), Mountain Range House (NZ) Commercial: Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat Spa Sanctury (Aus), MAF Multipurpose Building (NZ), Sales Pavillion/Community Centre for Fraser (NZ), Wolgan Valley Resort and Spa (Aus) Community: Arts, Conference and entertainment Centre (Aus), Regatta Foreshore Kiosk and Amenities Building (Aus), Supreme Court (NZ), Waitomo Caves Visitors’ Centre (NZ) |
