2008 Students and Under 30s Encouragement Award Winner :: Anita Panov & Andrew Scott :: Armature for a Window - Newtown House

Do you know of an exciting domestic building project that features timber? We’re looking for projects to nominate for the Australian series of the award-winning UK TV series, Grand Designs.

The producers of the show are looking for enthusiastic owners, interesting design, quirky or unusual features – in other words all the things that have made the UK series so popular worldwide. This isn't just about multi-million dollar budgets: a grand design may be small-scale or inexpensive... but it must be attention grabbing. If the entries we've already received for the 2009 Australian Timber Design Awards are any guide, we know there must be hundreds of Australian timber-featured projects which would fit the bill – so tell us about them!

A few ground rules: the project must be in Australia; it must start around June 2009; and it must run to completion within 12 months.

Don't be slow to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to publicise your work: Grand Designs Australia starts televising in one month! If you have – or if you know of – a project which you wish us to nominate, please contact:
