|About the Australian Timber Design Awards|
The Australian Timber Design Awards is a predominately national competition to promote and encourage outstanding timber design in the built environment professions. After a number of years, it has been decided that as from the 2016 Awards, Australian Designed International Projects would be again allowed to participate. Now in their seventeenth year, the Awards are distinguished by a proud heritage of innovation and achievement.
The aim of the Awards is to develop a timber design ethos through the encouragement and showcasing of superlative timber design in a variety of applications. A broad range of entry categories demonstrates the diversity of timber and permits recognition of achievement in a variety of areas.
The Australian Timber Design Awards are open to builders, designers, architects, engineers and landscapers: to anyone involved in the design or building of structures that feature timber. A Rising Star Award is available to students and entrants aged 35 or under.
Timber is a beautiful, strong and environmentally friendly material. The Australian Timber Design Awards encourage entries that showcase these properties. Categories recognise outstanding use of timber in residential buildings and public or commercial buildings.
If you have been involved in the design or building of a timber structure completed in the last 3 years you are eligible to enter the Australian Timber Design Awards. Please visit the Entry Section to learn more about entry requirements.
